These office essentials are available in either 100gsm or 120gsm laser-guaranteed Premium Uncoated White Paper. Choose from single or double sided to suit your design and business requirements.
Professional business letterheads with a choice of weight
You can choose between our Standard 100gsm paper or our Premium 120gsm paper. They have been specially selected for letterheads as they are uncoated so are easily printed and written on. They are bright white so colours appear vivid and are designed to go through your home or office printer so that you can personalise them. Our Premium paper is slightly heavier so as a result is a stiffer paper to the touch and has a smoother surface.
All out letterheads are printed in the full colour process.

Quantities of 250 and over will be produced on litho presses and quantities below 250 will be printed using state of the art digital printing techniques.
What you need to include on your business letterheads
When designing letterheads, no matter if you are a sole trader, limited company or charity there are certain legal requirements in order to send your letter in the first place.
These requirements vary depending on the type of company you run, they’re not complicated and can easily be condensed into a quick list that you can refer to whilst designing, but you should follow these guidelines.
Here’s what information must legally be on all company letterheads according the The Companies Act:
- The Business’s name
- Where in the UK your business is registered
- Your registered company number
- The address of your registered office
Some businesses will need extra information. Here’s a brief summary of everything you need.
Legal Requirements
Sole Trader
As a sole trader you have to include:
- Your business name
- Your own name (if your business’s name is different from your own name)
- Your business address
- Optional on letterheads but manditory on invoices. Your VAT number if registered. If you are not registered you cannot charge for VAT.
Limited Company
If you trade as a limited company, your letterhead must include:
- Your fully registered company name (ending in the word Limited or Ltd)
- Your full company registration number plus the place of registration (e.g. England)
- Your company registered address (this has to be clearly identified as the registered office/place of business)
- The address of your company’s place of business (if this is different from the registered address)
- Optional Directors names. if you choose to included you must list all directors, leaving no one out
- Optional on letterheads but manditory on invoices. Your VAT number if registered. If you are not registered you cannot charge for VAT.
Partnership Business
If you’re a partnership business, your letterheads must include:
- All the same requirements as those listed under ‘Sole Trader’, plus…
- The names of all partners
- The address of the main office
- If there are too many partners to name, you must state where a full list of partners can be found
Charieties
- A charitable company whose company name doesn’t include the words ‘charity’ or ‘charitable’ must state the fact that it’s a charity.
- It registration number
- It main address
Other items to consider
There are plenty of other items you should include in a letter
- Brand, logo, logo type (which helps recipients to identify you if they want to look you up)
- Telephone number
- Website URL
- Email address
- The correspondence address (if this is different from the registered address)
- The nature of the business, if this isn’t obvious from the name
- The VAT number (which is a legal requirement for invoices)
